boats were not accompanied by amtracs during the D-day invasion at Omaha beach?

I believe the amphibious assault boats were available in 1944, though they were primarily used in the Pacific island hopping campaigns.

I understand that Obama is going to Germany next to apologize to the Germans for us not doing that. He can't believe that we used our tactics to hurt those Germans. I think he only has to apologize to the Italians after that, and he will have a clear conscious.

Since this is a football post, Obama plans to aoplogize to the coots in cootlumbia for the woodshed whoopings that the TIGERS keep putting on them. On the long list is Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UNCheat, Loserville, etc. Obama must do a lot in his final days to secure his legacy.
