Does anyone know why we dont recruit better O linemen? It just seems like we dont go after the big ones and we settle for leftovers in that category.

Actually I DO have an answer. However, I don't know if it's the right one. It's my contention that O-linemen don't care for the fast break offense. How would you like to get your big, fat butt up off the ground as quick as you can and line up with no rest time after time? And the only time you get any recognition is when you miss your assignment or jump off sides. Just a theory.

And cut the worst down to scholarship cap. Because other schools want them too. I for one am fairly happy with the several 4 star linemen we have brought in.

Exactly I look at the list and see where we have quite a few 4* guys from the past few years I dunno what list these guys are looking at all the recruiting services rank guys differently most of the time all you have to do is look up DeShawn Watson's name on some of these sites to see that 1 has him as the number 1 QB and a 5 star recruit and another one has him as the #1 QB and a 4* recruit then one has him as a 4* and like the 9 best QB in the nation so I guess it all depends on the recruiting service you prefer. I go with ESPN just because of the money factor, they have more money to spend to go out and actually get eyes on these guys playing in a game. Thats just me I think the more money you have and as big as recruiting has gotten they are more likely to have the man power and resources to actually get first hand account on these guys....

Sure there are a few 5 stars each year that are OL but not nearly as many as the other positions.

I thought we made offers to lots of top O linemen. Or maybe Tyrone Crowder and Isiah Battle just walked on...not sure.
