I want to talk about the outstanding game Alex Hemenway had tonight!

It was such a joy to watch him play. His shots were obviously a thing of beauty, but I was also very impressed by his basketball IQ. He looked very comfortable out there. He played hard and wasn’t afraid to shoot. We need more of that.

There are a lot of people in favor of the "We're all a winner if everyone tries hard and has fun!" attitude in youth sports. I don't think that is going to carry over to college sports too well though.
Congrats to Hemenway though. The door is wide open for someone to step up and be a consistent outside scorer on this team. Hopefully he can be that guy!

He is going to be a good one. Guard play, should be a strength next year. We should have 4 solid guards in Dawes, Hunter, Hemenway, and Honor. Then we add some inside presence with Hall next season. Things are looking good next year and the year after.

Maybe Honor. I would say Simms, Newman, and Hemenway. I doubt Hemenway starts tho but he should if 3s are gonna be are go to like they have been. Maybe Hall comes in and can score idk. I think Dawes may become a consistent scorer.

He's far and away our best shooter. Sure, he makes freshman mistakes but he'll learn from them.

The ankle injury kept him on the bench for too much of the season unfortunately. On a team deep with starting talent, Hemenway would be a lethal scorer coming off the bench. A talented shooter but a role player. The last couple games his shooting is what I had hoped we would see from Tyson on a consistent basis.

I don't expect him to make over 50% of his three pointers every game, but I expect that his poor shooting nights will be less frequent than the nights he shoots 35%+ from 3.
