Because if they do, LSU still has the tougher road. Alabama has an easier remaining schedule. Unless of course you want Alabama to be in the mix. I don't.

whether they win the SEC or not. They committee has already shown they love Bama. Do you think they are going to drop them out of the top four if they keep winning? ANd if Bama beats LSU in a close one, then they both win out, the push will be for both to be in the playoff. That's the way the SEC lovefest works. There is no reason Bama should be ranked any higher than Stanford, right now.

The committee puts weight on Conf Champs. They showed that last year by leaving out Baylor and TCU.

There will not be 2 teams from SEC West in 4 team playoff.

This is a snap shot of right now. Most likely we will not stay at #1 either. Good thing for us is that we started at #1.
