Live the good life in the Ville of Simpson!

Apr 17, 2020, 8:52 AM

Supposedly a dentist won a huge lawsuit and built this 3 yrs ago.
Would be good lunge HQ. Celtic could be the Property Master!

If she's a hollerer, she'll be a screamer.
If she's a screamer, she'll get you arrested.

Not bad, almost as big as my place***

I'm trying to figure out what these are

Apr 17, 2020, 9:20 AM

Is that a dog wash, or is it for the cows:

Thats one heck of a rough, if that's what it is around #6. Or is that the family burial plot?

And why is there a dock on a mud hole?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's to wash off before coming into the house.

You know, get all the dirt, mud, clay, grease, etc. off after a hard day's work.

And it was brilliant to make it out of slick tile with no railing too.

My dogs would rather use the pool

Apr 17, 2020, 9:26 AM

They'd be in-out in-out in-out in-in-in out in-out in-out of the thing until they got hungry and/or had to poop.

I'm guessing they never go in half those rooms***

I think what Tiggity said about "new money" is dead on

Apr 17, 2020, 9:28 AM

I was waiting to see a velvet pic of dogs playing poker, or a velvet Elvis pic or somethin'.

When someone runs into money who never had it^^^

Apr 17, 2020, 9:22 AM

You win a lawsuit for $12 million. You build a $10 million house. You find you've spent $2 million in maintenance/insurance/taxes/hookers/blow in 3 years, Rona comes along, your dentist office closes, and now you have to sell it.

Interior pictures scream new money.

Contrast that with the guy I once met (not in a flattering way mind you) but he built a company, grew it, earned millions, saved for years, and built a similar sized house himself. Brand new, it looked 300 years old, and like a mansion out of an Old Spice commercial. All he needed was some English hounds, and some people in red coats, bowler hats, and some horses. He had the horses too. Pretty sure his hasn't gone up for sale yet. I mean it looked amazing inside. Literally looked 300+ years old. Inside and out. You could plop it in the English countryside and make up a story it was 400 years old, and people would believe it.

I can only assume he won maybe $12 million or so. If I came into that amount of money, I'd probably spend 1 million on a 4K square foot house (maybe 500K more on surrounding land), and make it ALL QUALITY, from the foundation up. Put away enough for kids' college. Then live within my means for the rest for life. The most important/valuable thing money can buy is time. Time with friends, family, and doing what you enjoy.

"Time with friends, family, and doing what you enjoy"

Apr 17, 2020, 9:24 AM

That, and the ability to always do what you enjoy, regardless what that may be.

Pro tip......

Apr 17, 2020, 9:26 AM

Most rich people who earn it, get rich doing what they enjoy.

Problem: Doing what you enjoy and making millions doing it, often takes a toll on the other two important things.

I dunno if that true or not.

Apr 17, 2020, 9:27 AM

I guess I never will.
