our perception of the state of things. 10-2 is the old 9-2, at least to me it is. 9-2 is good, it surely is, but it's not elite, and somehow 10 wins denotes being elite when it probably shouldn't. Having said this, someone should be applauded for adding UGA to the schedule, when we could have just played another chump. Was it Dabo? If so, good for him. The only solace I take in the streak is that Dabo is in year 5, and Spurrier is in year 9 so comparing the 2 is probably unfair. Having said this, losing by double digits all 5 times is unacceptable, and within the 9-2 context, previous Clemson coaches wouldn't have held the job long going 9-2 and never beating USC. Times have certainly changed.

playoff, I hope they drop the 12th game, move rivalry week back to week before Thanksgiving and Conference Championship games to Thanksgiving weekend.

9-2 with a bowl win = 10-2. Now, 10-2 w/ bowl win = 11-2

We are progressing. Compare last 4 yrs. to 11 game years.

2009 - 9-5 (losses in ACCCG and Bowl) : 8-4
2010 - 6-7 (w/ bowl loss) = 6-6

2011 - 10-4 (w/ bowl loss) = 8-4
2012 - 11-2 = 10-2
2013 - 10-2 = 9-2 (Bowl pending) Winning bowl would be like a 10-2 year in the 80's but if it is Bama, that will be a tall order
