Plus, from the cops view, there's no way you can tell if it has a magazine or not, looking at pics of the Mustang .380, it fits really flush and the only way you can tell up close is the tab that sticks out where the hand would cover it. And even further, no cop worth his salt would use a drop piece with that many others around. Depending on that many others to be in on something like that would be the dumbest mover ever.

I have no idea myself. Obviously you want a crime scene as well preserved as possible. On the other hand you don't want a loaded gun lying on the street while police are investigating the scene.

Clearly he and the wife were on the outs, and clearly the dude had some issues, probably many of them mental.
Also, when you hear the wife's recording, her voice just isn't right when he gets shot...it's just not a natural reaction, nor is the refusal to go by his side and to make a clear point of saying "I'm going to keep recording".
So I think in some way, either the wife framed him to get killed by the cops...drugged him or something and then stirred him up into a paranoid state, or else they had an agreement that this would happen...either way, payday.
The whole thing...scenario, the way it was recorded and narrated, the way it's been handled by the family post-crime....too contrived.
