We've used ours in the rain a few times. That's a bad@ss machine - I don't think anything can hurt it.

We sell a lot of generators, primarily for tailgating and flooding. If they didn't work in the rain, they wouldn't be much use, so most manufacturers (Honda being one of them) design them to run wet. Shouldn't be any problem at all.
