realizing that I'm completely unwilling to do it while 19She is here, because as much as she insists that she's fine with whatever I build, no less than 3 opinions have been offered during the 15 minutes of prep and tool gathering. I don't need a supervisor. I have my rough user requirements. Leave me alone to manage the project, and complain about it after I'm done like other wives.

Woah there. The only obvious solution is not to build it.

She gives you 5 differing directives. You tell her to pick one. She can't and says just do whatever one you prefer. You do whatever, and she then is immediately crystal clear directive #3 was NOT acceptable.

Really, the only logical solution is to not play the game. Credit to War Games there.

unless I need her.

Put up five porch blinds yesterday and she helped when needed, but not a word while I was working.

She does ask a lot of questions before I start, which is ok. She knows I do not read instructions too closely.
