for someone Clowney's size, if you're ever 5+ yards behind the ball, there's a 99% chance you won't influence the tackle at all. No need to expend energy or take a cheap block when you aren't going to make an impact on the play.

WR or RB down the field, I'm talking bout running past the QB, him stepping up into the pocket or scrambling, and Clowney jogging half-heartedly towards him. We've all heard how fast he is, he could keep up with the play and hurry the QB.

He's not going to run the big circle around a tackle and hit the QB from behind. I don't think I've ever seen him do that consistently.
