I have never had a "favorite Clemson football player"

but Lateek is one that could change that. Heard him described as "violent" which is what I want in a LB. Guy flies around the field and will be an absolute animal.

Bubba and Lester Brown. Used to sit with them in their dorm. Class acts and great football players.

If you have the spring game saved, go back and watch a play

that started on about the 25 on the West end of the field heading towards the West Endzone. Lateek blitzes and slides by the back and took a swipe at Tajh but misses and Tajh takes off to his left. Well, instead of quitting on the play, Lateek slams on the brakes, changes directions and runs him down, forcing Tahj to throw it away. When is the last time you saw effort like that.I remember in the NC State game last year when #15 missed a tackle on the sideline and lazilly turned and chased him. Well, another tackler took a shot at the ball carrier from the side, and had #15 been going all out after him, he would have nailed him from the back; possibly forcing a fumble. But, since he was loafing the opportunity was lost and the State guy scored. I think we had a lot of that on defense last year.

I'm a little younger than most of you guys

So I haven't seen as many players but mine is CJ. Always a class act and worked his tail off for the University. Our program wouldn't be what it is today without him, just all the other guys on this list

Still to young to really associate with our 80's teams unfortunately...
It's hard to pick one but:
CJ Spiller - First player I ever followed from recruitment to NFL Draft. One of the best representatives for Clemson and radiates love for the university.
Dwayne Allen - Charisma, Talent, Beast. When he's done wreaking havoc in the NFL, bet on him moving to something in front of a camera.
Charlie Whitehurst - 4-0 vs. SCar...and took a beating I thought no man should stand vs T.Tech...ugh, why did I remind myself, I was there. Thanks for the memories Charlie!

As if in a few years that will miraculously change...
Sorry, that one was so stupid, I had to laugh at myself.

The Fridge - or Steve Fuller. Someone mentioned Charlie Waters. I had the privilege of watching him play at QB. Great guy for sure. I liked him in his role with Dallas much better though.

These guys were absolutely devasting when they played with a rage.
As far as Clemson football/athlete... I admired Mike Eppley...he was just a solid athlete...what it was all about.

The Bostic brothers. Great guys off of the field. Nasty on it. Still will never forget watching Joe beat the bejeezus out of Jeff in the back of the Bookstore. Not even the bouncers tried to break that fight up.

For me, number 1 is Steve Fuller. Honorable mention would go to Dale "Thunderfoot" Hatcher. One heck of punter!
