The SEC certainly doesn't need two of dem. (I don't think they even want the one they have, but hindsight is always 20/20.)

I don't think the $EC regrets its decision to add u of 5c...

Keep in mind, the decision was made only after Texas and FSU turned them down (twice).

When the decision was made to add u of 5c, the decision was based largely, if not entirely, on geography. The league took into consideration that u of 5c would probably not make any significant contribution to the league athletically or academically. They were simply looking for a fallback school the league blue bloods (Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, LSU and Auburn) could slap around on an annual basis and that's exactly what they got.

The fact that u of 5c managed to win a national championship in baseball and wimminz hoops was just a happy accident.
