I’m not voting this time. Mostly because I just moved to VA for a year and didn’t feel like making appointments at the DMV, transferring titles, doing all that crap. I guess I could have quasi-legally requested a SC absentee ballot?

ballots are all about. You are not becoming a permanent resident of Va so your SC residency is valid.

First term mayor up for re-election....he did a great job and really shook up the good old boy system in effect here. So much so that the 7 aldermen actually created a brand new City Administrator position, and hired a lady for the role (for $150k/year) to perform what were the mayor's duties. Gotta vote the dummies out.

Just got back. About 1.5 hour wait so not to bad but this is going to be a complete cluster F. A few people where not allowed to vote because they were told they had voted absentee. All claimed they had not. The people working the polls were trying to figure out what to do when we left.
