players and coaching staff. I am just frustrated at the way this team and coaching staff seem to prepare and function in the big games. I am also frustrated with the fact that we have lost 5 in a row to our instate rival and it seems like our head coach is ok with it as long as we are winning 10-11 games a year, consistently ranked, bounce back like a tennis ball and etc...
You all know more than anything, that if Ford had lost 2-3 straight to the coots he'd be pulling out all the stops to fix it, same goes for Hatfield, Tommy West and Tommy Bowden. All these coaches had winning records against them.
I know what some are going to say... this has been the best teams that SC has fielded... Well to counter that, these have been some of the best teams recently that Clemson has fielded. Folks, it all comes down to coaching. That's the bottom line. The ole ball coach actually takes it serious and doesn't hold back his thoughts. Dabo, is worried about the mental aspect of his team and tells them to bounce back like a tennis ball. I don't know about you, but I like a coach that will tell it like it is. Enough with my soap box.
I will do my best to not be so critical in the future. I just wish that many fans would feel the need to put some pressure on Dabo to either fix the problem or go away.
Have a good day.

Get A Life. We have heard all this before. There are hundreds of teams you can pull for whenever you choose. Support Clemson University, the coaches, the players, the administrators. Keep you negative thoughts to yourself.

Not sure it's possible. I get told to "grow up" a lot, and I'm 62 and a big old boy.

Passion for the program comes out in many ways, and I feel your pain. I will correct you on one of your points, though. You never should include Hatfield in anything positive about Clemson football. He too Danny's players, which any idiot could have done, and won some games. When he left the talent was all used up, and it has taken until recently to get it back, and we still don't have the elite OL's nor defensive players Hatfield inherited. Also, Dabo lives under a different set of rules and expectations from our administration than Danny.

1) You cant compare the Chicken teams that have won the last 5 to the ones Danny, Hatfield, West, and Bowden whipped up on.
2) Dabo is a positive guy, but make no mistake he isnt happy about the streak and the paint is melting from the locker room and coaches offices. You dont air your dirty laundry for everyone to see

Is that just speculation, wishful thinking... or have you personally witnessed this? Did someone tell you this?
Because I don't get one iota of even a HINT of that kind of reaction or attitude from Dabo or anyone else based on anything I've heard since the thumb game. Honestly, I'd like to see some fire from this guy... I'd like to see something other than tennis balls and cheerleading.
I'd like to see something indicating that he cares about something other than 10 wins. His ### better be fired up. If we go to the Orange Bowl and take another multi-touchdown beating, what are y'all gonna say then? It won't be an average WV team this time.

The other Clemson coaches didn't have to deal with the hole left in recruiting from the previous coach resigning. That stuck with Clemson for four years and South Carolina took advantage of it. Hopefully, Clemson people have learned (albeit the hard way) from this experience. (although I'm not sure that some have...)
Swinney was also given the opportunity, with no previous head coaching experience.
