You would think they could spell the National Championship-winning coach's name correctly.

Good grief.

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

What an incredible example to follow.

I inherited the sarcasm from him...

One time when I was in high school and he was out of town on a business trip, I had my friends over...

Before he returned, I took all of the empty beer cans and hid them in the bottom of a large trash can under grass clippings from when I cut the yard.

He came home and I was out with friends. When I came back he asked, "Where did all of those beer cans come from?"

I said, "Somebody through them out in the yard."

He replied, "Well, you need to lock the doors when you're gone because someone came in and filled up the ashtrays too."

Love the snarky humor of folks from that generation. They weren't loud and didn't talk much... but when they did, it was always worth waiting for.

How did he come to be such a true believer? Sounds like his folks did a pretty good job on him, just like he did on you.

thanks so much for sharing the story, and the inspiration. That kind of spirit, praise God, is contagious.

Do you know what years he was at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky?

I do not for sure. It would have been mid 50's. Going through his stuff, I found no transcripts from Southern. I know he studied there because we talked about it. I think IBM might have had him in Louisville for a little bit.

Aren't we all flawed? He was as well.

I find Tigernet to be a fun diversion from the stresses of life, keep up with Tiger sports, make some new friends, and have some stupid fun.
