Boy, Brownell's extension must really threaten someone.

May 27, 2014, 11:34 AM

Not long after a 6 year contract is known, Clemson is now one of the worst basketball coaching jobs in America, along with FSU. I noticed no SEC schools are listed in the article.

Tell me which of these basketball coaching jobs in the SEC is better than Clemson?

South Carolina
Alabama
Auburn
Mississippi State
Ole Miss
aTm
UGA

eSECpn puts little thought into anything they write.

It's not on their agenda to be factual or well informed.

A&M is the one with the most potential

Only because Texas pumps out a ton of high school talent. UGA should also be a decent job.

NOT ONE OF THEM IS BETTER

He used the contract extension as support for his opinion

May 27, 2014, 11:54 AM

that it is a bad job, since it shows that they aren't committed to winning big, giving a long extension to a guy who, according to the writer, hasn't done much.

That don't make much sense to me. A great job is making the most money possible doing as little work as possible. If Clemson's standards are low for basketball success, wouldn't that make it a good job?

That opinion piece is a joke....

this guy must get all his collegiate sports news via the ESPN/SEC filter. An equally important question is does this clown have an editor somewhere who approves this trash??

I don't think there was an sec west team in the tourney last year. But Florida and Kentucky are not going anywhere so I don't get USuC and UGAy being a better coaching job.

Would give my left leg to have such a bad job

May 27, 2014, 2:22 PM

By their standard, which apparently means no history of significant achievements and little prospect of significant achievements in the near future, SOS has a truly TERRIBLE job!

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They play in the weak SEC

May 27, 2014, 2:25 PM

Therefore they have a more realistic to win a conference championship or tourney.

SCU job may be better due to the lack of a downside...how much more can that program tank?

It must be a terrible job if we have to pay...

May 27, 2014, 6:16 PM

someone who hasn't won anything that much money.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Funny part about that was, they said recruiting was tougher

May 27, 2014, 6:49 PM

because of Frank Martin. Talk about clueless, Brownell is out recruiting Frank Martin and beating him on the basketball court.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Chicago kids don't choose Wisconsin either....

May 27, 2014, 6:51 PM

another inaccuracy on the one about Marquette.
