Can you guys see Texas having at least

Dec 11, 2013, 8:15 PM

some level of interest in Dabo? Who, other than Saban, Art Briles, Jimbo and maybe the guy at Stanford, would they have higher than a young HC who has Dabo's record? I realize Chad Morris is a hot name and there are plenty of other really attractive high level coordinators, but would they not prefer a head coach? I realize some are going to scoff at this but I'm seriously asking.

I think I would want him before the Stanford guy

But I would put strong and Franklin ahead of him though.

I'm not sure

Texas doesn't really need a "recruiter" since they already recruit themselves.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's a good point. I guess I just don't see a lot of home

Run hires other than Briles and Saban, and I don't see Sabin bolting.

What about tcu coach assuming it is still Patterson

Dec 11, 2013, 8:50 PM

He has slipped off the radar. He sure did a lot to get them on the map with a whole lot less to work with. He was one of the hottest names in recent yrs past

A few yrs back he was mentioned all over t net***

I viewed him as a hr hire a few yrs ago, but maybe

Not quite as much now. Still, he's a darn good coach.

You are joking, right?

Dec 11, 2013, 8:54 PM

Please, don't go there.

He is one of ten finalists for coach of the year. In no

Dec 11, 2013, 9:01 PM

Way am I saying he'd by in their top 3, but we've seen other top programs struggle in their searches and resort to someone a little bit off of the radar. Also, I'm not saying I would hire him if I were the AD there.

Texas would be lucky to have Dabo! We all should hope they don't go after him. Mark my words: We would sorely miss Dabo if he left us.

I can't imagine TX lowering themselves (tongue in cheek)to hire an unproven (no NC's) like Dabo, no matter how great a coach, motivator, recruiter, moral person, etc. he may be), and I hope they don't change. We never could match what TX would offer for their "right fit".

did out Dabo in their top 5. Usually around 4 or 5.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Mack Brown had no NC

when he was hired. I remember thinking when he got the job that he wouldn't be there long.

It shouldn't be hard to win there with the talent you can pull in.
