He is a great player, but I thought he would have been more of a factor that teams would have to scheme for by now.

He has been a let down this season

Just doesn’t seem to have that explosiveness that he had last year. Even against the lesser teams he hasn’t really done anything that stands out. Thank goodness for Tyler Davis quickly becoming the elite lineman we are used to. The line has been overall pretty mediocre this year in comparison to the past few. I know it’s hard to replace 4 NFL players but we’ve been doing it without much change in production. Hopefully the new recruits next year will light a fire under XT and they get back to dominating OL’s

playing in a 3 man front has not been beneficial for him

When we go back to a 4 down lineman front it will free him up to rush more.

He also hasn’t played with the same intensity it would seem. I think scheme has a lot to do with it.
