How the Bathroom law affects me. My 7th grade daughter

lives 3 hours from me (thanks to my ex). She made the cheer-leading team and cheers on Wednesday nights. I haven't been able to see here cheer because I live so far away. Her middle school team was going to cheer in the ACC-CG until it was moved. Figures Clemson is playing in the game.
Really pissed to miss out on that.
I used to live in NC. I can't imaging walking into a woman's bathroom with my beard, and saying, "I was born XX (I'm not, but if I had a sex change who would know?), sorry I've got to pee here. Any urinals in here?"

The law only punishes trans people. Perverts and child rapist aren't going to stop because of a law. Instead you get people like this trans man having to use a women's bathroom. Then rednecks will try and attach this trans man because he is a "pervert" using a women's restroom.
There was no issue that the law addressed. It was a pointless law. You don't see bathroom problems in states without this law.

You are correct that the law will not stop perverts however the original law made it legal and easier to get to there prey. That's the issue most people had with it. I am willing to lose out on going to the ACCCG to protect innocent children.

Zero evidence that trannies going into the bathroom of there choice encourages sexual deviants to carry our sex offenses. If you do have some proof post a link, and post a link that isn't to a right wing website or publication

Probably the biggest problem in this country is that people trust EVERYTHING they read on the internet. You only trust things from liberal sites, the people you argue with listen to right wing sites when in reality neither of these sites are very accurate and the truth lies in between; but hardly anyone has the gumption or common sense to think for them selves.
Here's a question for you: How many times in your entire life did you see an issue, or better yet anyone complaining about which bathroom they had to use??? How many times have you "seen a tranny hiking up there skirt at a urinal?" In all of my 31 years I have never seen that or run into anyone with a problem about it until this whole nation went P.C. crazy and started creating issues where there were none. I have been to 44 out of the 50 states and I travel for work.
I mean, really. What in the hell is wrong with everyone??? Do you REALLY not believe you can tell the difference between a girl and a boy when they are born??? I don't care who or what they enjoy dating, or how they dress; but if you have a Johnson: go to the men's room, if you don't: go to the women's room. This is not complicated.

I feel like you kinda started out on the right track, but then went astray. You've gone your whole life without having or hearing complaints about what bathroom people use. This problem only became a problem when someone decided to tell people what bathroom they had to use. You could have gone to the bathroom next to a transgender or transsexual person several times in your life and you wouldn't have known it. Now you are taking that person that looks like a man and acts like a man and lives their life as a man and forcing them to go into the women's restroom. The problem here is not liberal political correctness. It's conservatives dictating to others how they should live their lives based on their open beliefs.

My main point is: if you have the equipment, use a urinal. This is something children understand and yet we are making laws about it now. It seems like everywhere there should t be an issue, we now have one. That only comes when we have too much government.

women's restrooms. This wasn't an issue until right wingers made it an issue. You never here any women complaining about trannies coming into the restroom, just something made up by right wing males

If trannies can feel uncomfortable going into the bathroom of their natural sex, why can't I feel uncomfortable with them in mine?

Neither the Charlotte Ordinance or HB2 made sense or helped anyone with regard to bathrooms. Those sections of both laws are dumb and should be repealed. Repealing one without the other makes zero sense. Both laws infringe on the rights of individuals including trans folks and business owners. Wal mart or Target or BOA Stadium, or a small time entrepreneur owns the business the building and the land, they get to set bathroom policy on their own premises. Get the government out of this and people will vote with their dollars and urethra's. Where ever they happen to be. Common Sense and more legislation hardly ever go together in the same sentence. More laws make more criminals.

My thoughts as well. Charlotte overreached, as did the state legislature. I suspect that I have used the bathroom with a trans person at least once and NEVER knew. No harm. We are all in a tizzy over which bathroom less than 3% of the population uses. Holy crap (no pun intended). Meanwhile, our politicians are manipulating the tax code and our own worst impulses to their benefit. What a ###### up world it is.

It curtails the legal rights of workers who believe they were fired due to racial, gender, age, or other types of discrimination. Glad our new Gov. is going to repeal it soon.

of course that assumes that some people have a "right" not to be fired and others don't. But you are absolutely correct, the Both the Charlotte ordinance and HB2 are robust.

I hate it for you tremendously and know very well your position.
But to make a point, Mothers who get sole custody of kids
without Fathers having rights as well
is part of this issue.
The social liberals have gone too far in tearing down this country in several areas
not just one....

You're one who love's to call people ignorant, talk about irony. I'm glad you know exactly what goes on in everyone's life, even those who you've never met, but what ever helps your self esteem.

By stating he hardly gets to see her even though he only lives 3 hours away. There's people who make longer trips to come to Clemson games.

Maybe you need to learn how to not make assumptions about someone's personal life that you know nothing about. Distance is obviously a factor (even though you act like a 6 hour round trip isn't a big deal) but there probably are other reason that can play a huge role.
