Directors be open to the idea of exploring the possibility of pursuing acceptance in another conference, in basketball only, as a way to be more competitive? I know other schools have historically been in one conference for one sport and in another conference for a different sport or sports. Do the ACC by-laws or granting of rights prohibit us from doing this?

It is a way that we might actually be able to compete without making significant commitments and efforts to improve our program. That is why I was wondering if this were something worth exploring.

Not the Clemson way. There is something seriously wrong if we even THINK we can't be competitive with Wake Forest, GaTech, VaTech NCState, Boston College and Florida State in basketball and take one away every now and then from Duke etc
