Clemson Credited with Energizing Levi's Stadium

Jan 4, 2020, 12:55 AM

Article in today's San Francisco Chronicle about Levi's Stadium and how dull it's been since it opened and hope the success the 49ers had this season will make it better......

"One year ago, on Jan. 7, 2019, we received clear evidence that the building is not the problem. The buildup to the college football national championship, between Alabama and Clemson, was slow, with ticket sales lagging. But the night of the game was a revelation: The stands were packed. Clemson fans mounted a takeover of Levi's. The noise was deafening.

The energy poured out into the night and was proof with the right product on the field, with truly engaged fans in the stands, with no desire to leave your seat to head to a bar down below, Levi's could create a memorable atmosphere."

Wish I'd known. I sure wanted a bourbon a after that game! Only time since Notre Dame at Clemson 1977 that I wanted a liquor drink at a ball game. I was hoarse from
C-L-E-M-S-O-N around the stadium, by end of 1st Qtr. Said out loud "What I wouldn't give for a liquor drink!" Guy standing next go me in west end zone opened his jacket and had rows of minibottles sewn in said, "You get the mixers!" May need one about midnight Jan 13!

NFL stadiums do lack intimacy in my opinion. Hard to say exactly what is is.

Huh?

Which men make more than they should? Are you 'the decider' on what each of us should make?

Is there a better way to play a game than 'acting like children'?

I don't get it.
