Great to get these skill players on board in January.

Nov 8, 2013, 8:52 PM

Particularly the WRs.

Losing Sammy and maybe Bryant too, having three top freshman WRs get a jump on getting acclimated to college and learning the system will be huge. Kitt, Scott, and Priester could all play a lot next season.

Certainly doesn't hurt for DeShaun Watson to get a head start either. Even if he red shirts, he'll be miles ahead learning the system by the time he get's a shot at the starting job.

Bryant has about as much business leaving as Hamilton did. Now he may do it anyway but no way is he ready

I still don't understand why Dabo continues to go after skill guys and neglects both sides of the line of scrimmage. It's why Clemson has lost 4 straight to SC. They get beat each year on the line and he's done nothing to address. As long as that happens, Clemson won't beat SC more than once every 3-4 years.

Our defensive line is better than yours.

And Vic Beasly is better than Clowney.

Vic has been getting a taste of Clowney's attention the past couple of games, hasn't he? That's why his numbers have also dropped dramatically.

thanks for pointing out the main reason for chickentech's little streak (Clemson has beaten usuck 4 consecutive on numerous occasions) was their control of the lines of scrimmage.

And while it remains to be seen how comptetive the Tigers OL and DL will be this season in the rivalry game, even a mental midget can see improvement in talent, depth and performance---you qualify. And thats even after losing Pat DeStefano permanently--however, injuries are indeed part of the game.

No one's claiming Clemson has the top team nationally on both sides of the LOS....but they're improving. So excuse us while we celebrate signing some of the top skill players in the nation---we'll all pretend to be blissfully ignorant. Of course, Clemson hasn't been on successive NCAA probations either. What is it??--6 out of the last 7 years or something??

Incidentally, the Kenny Miles Defense Fund is on line 2 for you.

#### list. 2nd of all, we recruit basically the same in-state "o and d" linemen y'all do, we do differ on some of the out-of-state kids. our d-line is better than y'alls to start with, and our offensive line is no worse. you must forget, both our offensive line coach (caldwell) and defensive line coaches (brooks ,d-line and hobby ,d.e.'s) have both coached in the sec (hobby in the nfl,as well), so don't be bringing up that bs. have y'all been better the last few years on the line ,yes. are you now, i sure as #### don't think so.

Not sure how getting 4 great skill players in early implies

Nov 9, 2013, 11:00 AM [ in reply to Re: Great to get these skill players on board in January. ]

that Dabo "neglects" the line of scrimmage.

My OP was simply saying that skill kids who could make an immediate impact in 2014 will have a several month head start.

Given Clemson's current depth chart, All OL and most DL would red shirt even if they came in January.

How do you explain to your kids that you love the ####?

Serious question.
