I like how they spin the whole thing. Dabo acknowledged BEFORE his quote that Spurrier may not have said it. He wasn't addressing Spurrier he was addressing the quote. He never once mentioned Spurrier muchless attributed the quote to him. The last quote in there was actually said BEFORE the first quote....

backed away from it, or didn't say it but likes that it was out there. The alternative is that you guys are running such a Mickey-Mouse operation that official channels are allowed to make-up comments and state that they are direct quotes from your head football coach.

I first heard the comment, I thought: "Sounds just like something he'd say." I think the furor afterwards probably surprised him, especially after Dabo's retorts, which prompted Spurrier's denial of the comments. He couldn't, of course, resist an additional tweak. I think the whole episode was hilarious other than thinking Todd Ellis was a numbnut for admitting the quote given his position.
