2/3rds of gun deaths are suicides by handgun. Assault style rifles are toys that happen to be capable of taking a lot of human life in a short period of time. I guess if you are not over compensating for something, or are a really good shot and don't need a semi auto to take down a deer, then they serve very little purpose other than to intimidate others.

and coyotes are a major problem. They kill dozens every year. The weapon of choice is an AR style rifle. Mini 14s are a very popular varmit rifle as well, used by farmers and ranchers for decades.

It’s hard to convince people who think everyone lives in the same conditions. It just shows how incompetent they are.

Those number are inaccurate. They say 70 some odd homicides per year per state. A simple google search shows there are over 200 per state not 70.
