Bullitt Bar is my favorite watering hole.
The Gay district is actually pretty cool/funny if you aren't homophobic. Best crepes I've ever had. Not even joking. Saw a "Go #####" T-shirt too. Also watch out for fully naked extrovert homos. Never encountered one, but they are there from time to time.

Drive down 280 and go to Half Moon Bay and try out

the Distillery (an old speak easy). It has great food, drinks, outside area with fire place on a cliff overlooking the Pacific. I lived in Silicon Valley for almost 5 years. Any questions T-Mail me. I know spots that are much better than the tourist locations.

Spent a few days there last spring and my wife made me visit Alcatraz, it was the highlight of the trip...tons of history out there.

Alcatraz audio tour, Muir Woods, get a standing spot

Jan 7, 2015, 8:48 PM

on the side of a cable car and ride through the city, look for the Bush Man scaring tourists near Fisherman's Warf (if he's still there), wine tasting tour in Napa and Sonoma Valley (a small tour van is a better experience than a tour bus), go across Golden Gate Bridge and go up hill on north-west side to take pictures with bridge and city in the background, free candy samples at Ghirardelli. That's about it.

Ride around on the cable car routes.......

and hang off a few. Great way to sightsee and get around for happy hour. Go see the seals at Fisherman's wharf.
