Is every player on the team "special"? We should never lose a game.

He uses the term "special" for players who deserve, like...

Stephone, who IS a special/rare talent. I have no problem with Dabo handing out praise.

but he's shown a less than intimate relationship with reality when making such observations in the past(KP last year starting for NFL teams) and so must be taken with grains of salt.

I think KP was the one exception where he probably went too

far in handing out the kind of praise he did, with stuff like, "He'll be a good NFL QB." Or whatever it was he said. I loved how he had KP's back, but he did go too far on that prediction, haha. Still though, Dabo doesn't just say every player is "special."
So far this year he's said Sammy is a "rare dude" and from what we've seen so far, he's right on, because Sammy is a freak. From the flashes Stephone is showing and the ridiculous physical tools and mental approach he has to the game, he IS special and Dabo is right on.

Judging from your post history you look like a Coot, 82grad

so I can see why you wouldn't think Stephone Anthony is going to be a special player. So nevermind in regards to responding to you.

No, i'm not doubting he is a special player. He just uses it too much. Taj is special, Andre is special, and so on. Just think he is putting himself in a bad situation if things turn a little bitter.

Every kid on that team is special, ask their parents. And they have to be special b/c they are at a special school in a special place....

On the sports talk show in Cootlumbia today. They were taling about how Clemson fans are always wanting to fire the coach after every loss. And they were right with some. They were taliking about Clemson fans BOOOING our team in the first half of the first game of the season, which was embarassing. This is what I think and I believe. We have alot of fans that are good fans only when we are winning 10 games or more a year. Then there are the ban wagon fans after a great year of recruiting, and those fans think we are going to win every game with true fresman. Those are the ones that talk the most sh!t when those great recruits stumble in their first games ever at the college level as a true freshman. Then you have those of us that want Clemson to win every game every year. But we are not going to BOOO our guys off the field at any time. And we are going to be true to our guys even if we only win a few games. Boooing those kids Saturday was pathetic and I don't care if you are a Clemson grad or just a fan. I hope that the game play Saturday pissed you off enough that you don't ever come back to another game. Clemson, the kids that are playing these games, and the fans that just love Clemson don't need nor want you there embarassing us. Its just a game!!!

Maybe both?

Dabo: ramped up in terms of tempo and output Morris: dumbed down in terms of scheme and difficulty of execution Result: win
I'm going to side with Morris on this one though. Game turned into a lot of screens.

I think Dabo was talking about difficutly of execution from a broader stand point. They weren't doing anything spectacular in the first half that would suggest the players were overloaded with the difficulty of execution.
But they had to make changes at halftime based on what Troy was giving them instead of what Clemson wanted to do.
