Georgia ranked higher than the Oregon Ducks

Can somebody please explain to me how the "bulldogs " are higher ranked than the Ducks?
Oregon lost to Auburn (ranked #16 at the time)21-27. Georgia lost to the unranked and noted a team with a loosing record at the time, at home, to South Carolina, which might I add- was beaten by North Carolina Tar Heels, from that super weak ACC.

As for my Tigers-I will respect them in the NC game or the Independence Bowl- You can't loose what you are not allowed o defend.

Georgia is ranked higher than Oregon because how good your wins are is more important than how bad your losses are (unless the opposite helps an SEC team be ranked higher).

UGA has wins against #10 Florida and #15 Notre Dame
Oregon has no ranked wins

beat ND and Florida …….. oh , wait... there goes the coot logic again. Must have been something about the refs that messed this up. (And we can expect the refs to keep things close this week).

Oregon doesn't really have a marquee win unless you count Washington, a team that is now 5 - 4.
