Just replaced my 3rd set of burners and second set of heat shields on my old Ducane 30400042 grill. Circa 2006.
Replaced the main gas line once. The back burner once. Grate once. I swear one day something will happen that can't be fixed. But as long as I can find parts, I'll keep it. It's either 10 or 12 years old. Using a fireplace match to light it now since the knob clickers don't work and are like $40 each to replace. Don't want to spend $200 for something I can do with a match.
What's the oldest gas grill in the lunge still in working order?

It will kill you. Since you want to be literal.
The three empty plates that had ribeyes on them that were cooked tonight over charcoal proves my point.

Weber Genesis pushing 20 years

Sitting on my deck with no cover.
I’ve put burners in it 3 times, an igniter once and bought grillgrates(tm) and put one of the new safety regulators on it.
$475 new, probably $200 over the last 18-20 years, a great investment.
I also built a charcoal drum smoker and have a pellet smoker grill to cover all the bases.

Replaced grate, replaced gas shield guards as well, electric starter broke but just use match’s, temperature gauge also went out a few years back.
Overall has been a very good grill for $450

As a graduation gift. Sits on my deck uncovered. Only thing I’ve done to it was replace the gas line because a squirrel chewed through it.
Also have a Weber charcoal from the 80’s my dad gave me.

wanted to chime in about how great they are. Mine sits in a screened porch, generally covered. I've done minor clean-ups a couple times a year, but did the first really thorough clean-up a couple weeks ago. Was impressed at the great condidion, but more impressed at the design, ease of thorough cleaning, and the build quality. Everything works like new, no parts even close to needing replacement.

I won one of these at a local convenience store 27 years ago

by tossing a business card into a fishbowl, it was a Marlboro giveaway and has the logo burned into the wooden handle on top. I probably don't use it 3 times a year, but it's lasted for 27+ years, and works like a charm every time I do. I also won a really nice Marlboro internal frame backpack from the same convenience store, which I'm pretty sure is still in the attic and I probably have never used.

the counter when I went in and the owner just asked if I wanted to fill out an entry slip. I used to stop in and get a large sweet tea in there most mornings on the way to work (they had the best tea in town) and they simply drew my name. Could have been that the cigarette rep that did the giveaways lived in my parents' neighborhood. 'Twas all for naught though...I never became a Marlboro customer. Always preferred to roll my own.
