That dude gets life in prison, which I think is insanity.
I am so far to the left on criminal justice reform and our drug laws. This kind of situation should be maybe 5 years and lets roll.
I hate hate hate our judicial system and drug laws.

Heck he doesn’t even know how to give a thumbs up.
But absolutely, marijuana does not equal meth. I do not think marijuana should be freely used for recreation. But I’ve known individuals who have used it and still functioned as responsible folks. Heck, they’ve entertained me during backpacking trips in the Smokies. But we’ve all watched meth, crack , heroin, and legal opioids steal lives. I’d prefer doctors prescribe marijuana for pain than create another addict to opioid pain meds. As dumb as I am and as smart as doctors, politicians, and lawyers are... there’s no way they don’t know this already!

monetization of the penal system, including the police force and the prison system. Letting police keep the spoils of drug busts to buy military grade equipment means they don't want the gravy train to end. And putting private companies in charge of the penal system creates a supply and demand problem. I guarantee corporate prisons have lobbyists that spend a lot of time fighting attempts to legalize drugs.
