For those defending the S&C program at Clemson.

Nov 28, 2012, 12:30 PM

I don't know much about Batson , but I do know S.C. looked stronger and bigger. Now, assuming these guys are similar out of H.S., there are only two ways for one group to get stronger than the other. Steroids/Ped's or a better S&C program. I'm not sure which it is but it's one of the two.

No, we need to overhaul the S&C program and hire someone that has a resume that doesn't include Furman.

Actually, it's Mr. Batson's mentor that is a proponent of steroid use.

1st half we did not look weaker, to me. Our O-line was shoving their D-line back on some plays. That may bring in the conditioning question, of course. s

Batson was 9-2 against the coots under Bowden.***

When the Coots didn't have a S&C program to speak of. That's not saying much.

The Coots get a real S&C coach (Fitzgerald), and they haven't looked back yet.

They have been on probation before for steroid use.

Yeah...in the 80s.

Fitzgerald didn't come to SC until 2009.

You mean before the coots hired a good S&C director?

And then SCar switched to a new S&C program. We 0-4 since.

And the coots were still building. Batson is now 0/4 against a stronger better coot team than Bowden ever had to face.

Bull####

Nov 28, 2012, 12:45 PM

Scar was not bigger, faster, or stronger. And if they were, it was because they recruiting an exceptional athlete or were simply better at the position (Clowney, Taylor). If S&C is such a big problem, how come we were running with ease in the first half? Is UGA planning on overhauling their S&C staff after getting dump trucked by Scar?

We got outcoached and outplayed Saturday night. It's as simple as that. A high school team could throw for 300+ against our secondary. Why do you think OBS started the better passer @ QB? We couldn't get off the field on third down. The offensive play-calling was bizarre. Tajh had an off game. The receivers dropped easy balls. All of these are legit reasons we lost.

If you didn't see SCAR wear us down, then you didn't watch very closely.

Nov 28, 2012, 12:46 PM

Blocked from media ???s

Nov 28, 2012, 12:57 PM

Do know much about what is going on,
but I read media were not allowed to question—
That’s a problem, Gotta be protecting for a reason.

Also agree USC & Fl State were the stronger teams

Crazy thought—Hire a wrestling coach, those guys go
through insane workouts. And not all weight lifting
Lean, Strong & Agile

the coot players are clearly bigger and more muscular

There's no debate.

Re: For those defending the S&C program at Clemson.

The only difference was SC's lines had far more experienced players. Seniors on the lines do tend to look bigger and faster than sophomores and freshmen due to the extra development time. All but one Clemson DL were sophomores and freshmen.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yeah Bruce Ellington and Ace Sanders were so much bigger….

Nov 28, 2012, 4:35 PM

than Sammy Watkins and Nuk Hopkins.
