Any half decent coach interested in taking over a century long 2nd class program will still finish this season out and possibly their team's bowl game. The clock ticking loudly will drive the speculative coot nation crazy.

It will give them lots of time to talk about how their "storied program" of theirs probably will attract Saban away from UA or Miles from LSU. Then they will settle for whatever they can get. Their conference will help them, though. It's carried them for years, now, and they have been a heavy load to bare.
