Behind VT...Seriously? I know Clemson was embarrassed in the bowl game but they won the ACC and handed VT 2 of its 3 losses. That is just idiotic!

Nope, but I'm sure the last game was the only factor.

Which is why I'm surprised we are ranked at all. I'll take 22 and run with it.

This sounds like sour grapes even though it isn't, but I frankly couldn't care less what our ranking is if it's not in the Top 20. AFAIC rankings 21-25 are CFN's equivalent of grading on a curve solely so 5 more teams can brag about being ranked.

Alabama is #1 in both polls? I smell a rat... there's no way they should have jumped LSU.

They were VERY generous to CLEM and less so to WVU...

...I would not have voted Clemson as a top 25 team considering that Orange Bowl performance.
And to rank WVU only 5 spots higher? Forget it! WVU should be #14.

teams at this point. Each has varying motivations, there's coaching changes, players getting ready for the draft, others trying to get experience for next season, one month layoff, etc. Otherwise, the SEC has to count their loss to Utah a few years ago.
And maybe, just maybe, Steele was busying with UT stuff instead of focusing on the OB. I can't help but wonder if we could've held them to 60 if we had 100% of his brain on us.
