SEC may not have a team in playoff this season. Also said Saban would probably not coach more than 3 more years.

Is this a sign of the SEC's descent into mediocrity becoming realization?

When Saban retires, it will be really interesting to see who Bama pursues as his replacement.
Unless they promote from within (Kirby Smary or Jim McElwain), someone like Pete Carroll would be a top target for them.

Would Dabo leave for Alabama?
Jul 30, 2015, 10:24 AM
|

Way ahead of ourselves, but Dabo would be a great fit for Alabama. I have no doubt that he would do well there. What I don't know is whether he would make that move or not. For him to be considered, it would take a couple successful years at Clemson. He would certainly be young enough to make it a good move for the Tide. Is he ambitious enough to want to jump into that pressure cooker? He's from Alabama. Does he want to go back?

I'm not sure if Bama would go after Dabo or not,

or if he'd want to go. Personally, I think after winning the Championship this year or in 2016, Dabo will want to stay at Clemson.

Who knows what's in Dabos head but he has it made here. A few more 10+ win seasons and a ACC title. It would take the wheels completely falling off before Dabo ever got a hot seat. I think DS will be at Clemson for a long time.

I wouldn't hate it if he made Clemson his permanent home like Danny did either.

I don't think so. A greater feather in his cap and I believe it is his goal to build Clemson into an annual Alabama-like program. He wants Clemson to be a powerhouse, elite program dynasty.

I had a Coot tell me Fisher would be a top candidate to replace Spurrier at $CU.
Bless their deluded ignorant little chicken hearts. Jockstraps clearly aren't too bright but they sure are good for a laugh.

I would hope Dabo would have the brains not to be the guy replacing saban. Bill Curry had his life threatened after replacing bear bryant.

conference covers many years and many sports. I hope we can dethrone them at some point, but it'll take many years of improvement across the board to pass the better conferences

He might well be right on the first of those two, but figuring out when Saban is going to retire is a total crap shoot.

Paul says OSU would win SEC this year
Jul 30, 2015, 11:08 AM
|
|
Now that he has softened his rhetoric a bit I've been, catching his tv show now and then.
He's been saying OSU,has three, quartebacks better than any in the SEC and that over the course of a season would win SEC. Its a new tactic and the mouth breathers are beside themselves when they call in to tell Paul how wrong he,is.
Caller: "OSU wouldn't go,undefeated in the SEC" Paul: "Probably not but they would win the conference" Caller: silence except for heavy mouth breathing

For the first time in my life, I actually watched part of the PF show on the SEC channel yesterday. I managed to watch 10-12 minutes before getting totally sick of listening to the callers. Talk about Much Ado About Nothing - that show is the pits. I was bored to tears as I endured several callers talking nonsense. A total waste of my time. I know not to try that again.

He know their reign of terror is ended. We might get some fair treatment in a couple of years if the pollsters keep putting the SEC's top teams in bowl games they can't win.
The score of their games in the main bowls tells the tale.
