Walt is talking "what if's" regarding Coach Swinney...

Dec 11, 2015, 3:26 PM

What if Alabama came calling in the next few years. Considering Saban's current frustration there (per Walt); and considering the kind of pressure that comes with that job (not that there is not pressure at Clemson, but it is different)...

Do you think Coach DS would go home to Bama?
With what he has cultivated in 7 years in Clemson, would he give that up, something he established to follow a legend in a pressure cooker? With his children still having 8-10 years to grow up, would he take that on? I could see him making that transition when the kids are grown to give it a go into retirement but now? Or in the next 3 years... What say you?

Even then...why not ride the train and make history?

Make Clemson the new football "Bama"

It all depends on how we treat him after this season.

Dec 11, 2015, 3:30 PM

If we act way too selfish or critical it will be easy to leave. Only Dabo knows what's truly in his heart.

He wouldn't be afraid of the challenge.

Dec 11, 2015, 3:30 PM

But he would do what he thought best for his family and his staff.

The definition of awesome!

Don't think so

Bama could have gotten him anytime before HE broke ground on Clemson's forthcoming Sports Complex. Clemson is Dabo's program now. he'll retire here. Of course this is just my humble opinion.

He wouldn't go home to Bama...

Dec 11, 2015, 3:36 PM

He'd stay home at Clemson.
