Environment will be unlike anything Jameis has ever seen

Chris Rix, who now trains quarterbacks and also serves as a college football analyst for Fox Sports, said he has been very impressed with FSU freshman quarterback Jameis Winston and the 2013 Seminoles. But he knows from first-hand experience what kind of challenge awaits on Saturday.
“It’s easy to say that you’re going to stay locked in and calm and that the team is going to stay together,” he said. “But at the same time, you’re human. And that environment will be unlike anything Jameis has ever seen. That place will literally be shaking.”
Like several other current and former FSU players have said this week, Rix acknowledged that Death Valley was the loudest stadium he ever played in. And he said the biggest concern he has is how the Seminoles will be able to reverse the momentum if Clemson makes a big play early and the crowd gets excited.
“That’s when self-doubt starts to creep in,” Rix said. “All of the sudden, Jameis might not play with the same swagger and do all of the great things we’ve seen him do. If Clemson gets off to any kind of a hot start, I think it’s going to be tough.

Winston just said on satellite radio that "No crowd is gonna beat us" and "Their defensive line doesn't bother me, my offensive line is up to the job." He then answered, in response to a question about being a little bit nervous playing a huge night game in Death valley, "Dylan Thompson did all right, didn't he?"
