Elliot possibly is the OC sacrificial lamb

If we get out to a great start offensively next year, everyone's saying Dabo made the right decision on play caller. If not, which is likely with both OC's being inexperienced, then Elliot becomes the "bad guy," and it's only natural that Scott would take over play calling responsibility AND have his feet wet in the OC position. This gives one guy the chance to prove himself, and the other guy (who we know Dabo has been grooming for this position) a little bit of a cushion if he needs to take over.

I see it as a move to give Scott some cushion for the future.
