They want their fans to enjoy themselves. The money has nothing to do with it. Actually I went to a College of Charleston basketball game a few years ago and they sold beer. I’m not saying Clemson should do it but I saw no problem with it there.

I used to live in Rochester, NY, and attended several Syracuse basketball games in the 80's & 90's.

The area high schools would set up fund raising booths serving imported beer & food. They were located behind the curtain separating the basketball court from the other half of the football field (Carrier Dome).

I don't know if they still offer the same, or have changed rules about alcohol. More than likely, NYS taxed it to the point where nobody can afford it.

The prices were wet to make sure no one got too drunk. The prices at the Embassy Suites guest appreciation were much better.
