Not quite sure how i feel about the Esso being half Irish last Saturday. I stayed for a few mins and left for somewhere that seemed more like a home game.

Irish fans came from all over America, many because of Clemson's reputation for being an awesome football town.
What's the #1 thing to do or see besides the game?
Esso. There you have it.
For reference, I've been to over 100 home games and have probably been to Esso on gameday less than 20 times.

g lot. I had a bulldawg with me and he had never been so I figured we would swing in. I dont have a problem with them going there but i think its a little disloyal to rent the place out to an opposing team on game day. Maybe i would do it too but then again i probably wouldn't.

go hang out with the enemy at the Esso. Nothing against the place, it just seems to be the easy target for the opposing fans.

Guess it's close to the stadium and it's the place they have heard of.

The Esso Club was not rented out to Notre Dame.. this is how ridiculous rumors get blown out of proportion. All Notre Dame fans I ran into mentioned how they had always heard about the Esso Club and check it out - I can't blame them. I'd rather have a tailgate any day of the week but its always fun to check out the local sites and sounds when visiting an opposing campus.
Good win this week - let's take care of GT at 3:30 on Saturday.

As a graduate of Clemson and Manager of The Esso Club I am always proud to hear the wonderful things said about Tiger Fans by opposing teams. I cannot explain the smile it put on my face to hear all of our local patrons telling Notre Dame fans "Welcome to Clemson" "Can we by you a beer" and so on. It made what felt like the longest weekend of my life one of the best. I am incredibly happy that I can say I worked at The Esso Club when Notre Dame came. They were some of the best customers! There are some other teams that have been great through the past 15 years but few will top Notre Dame and BC. Tigers are known to treat fans with respect and here at The Esso Club we like when everyone has a great time together after all it is just a game. We will also be hosting The Boston College Grid Iron Club here Friday October 16th. Everyone is always welcome at The Esso Club. The friendships I have made with Boston College fans are some of my most treasured over the years and we hope that you will join us! GO TIGERS!
