Pretty sure the announcers have to say "SEC" at least 10 times per hour or they will be in direct violation of esecpn's code of conduct. What a joke.

We cheer for CLEMSON, not a conference.

The ultimate little man syndrome is riding on the coat tails of Bama and LSU. It doesn't seem odd at all that Bama cheers for Bama and LSU for LSU, while SC fans chant SEC? That's truly pathetic and little man syndrome defined.

No... because those schools weren't big games.
Clemson is a worthy opponent. I came to check out what the Clemson fans were saying, and was immediately struck by the seething hatred for the SEC.
So I decided to post a little bit from a different perspective.

I think it's hilarious how you ###### bag SEC homers pull for each other and act like you're better just because of your conference affiliation.
There are teams all over the country that could compete and compete well in the SEC.

Sure there are. But their conferences don't have as many top-tier teams as the SEC.
That's just a fact.
In the SEC, almost every team is capable of being very good at any given time. Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Auburn, Arkansas, and Tennessee get the recruits and are tough teams depending on the year.
Even Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss are capable of being good every-now-and-then.
Kentucky is the only team that always sucks. And Mizzou is new.
A lot of times, half of the top 10 ranked teams are SEC teams.
Having said all of that, other teams COULD compete in the SEC. There is no denying that. I'm saying the SEC is the conference with the most top-tier teams in it. It's a brutal conference to play in.

Nobody's arguing that the SEC isn't the best conference.
It's that you constantly have to hear about it.
You're missing the point entirely and continue to perpetuate the very thing you say we're ranting about.
The problem is - IT'S FREAKING WEIRD TO PULL FOR TEAMS YOUR'E SUPPOSED TO HATE JUST BECAUSE OF SOME SOUTHERN INFERIORITY COMPLEX! MAN UP AND PULL FOR YOUR OWN TEAM.

We do root for our own team. But it's like this:
SEC fans know how brutal the conference is. Because of this, some SEC schools would schedule cupcakes out of conference, because their conference is so tough and has so many ranked teams.
Fans from other conferences would say things like "the SEC doesn't play anybody. That's the only reason they are good... because they don't play tough out of conference games".
And the SEC fans say "because the in conference games are so much tougher than any other conference, scheduling tough out of conference games would make a hard schedule even more brutal. Other conferences NEED to schedule tough out of conference games to get their strength of schedule up."
So when SEC teams do play against other conferences, we stick together to stick it to everybody that doesn't get it.
And in recent years, SEC teams have been scheduling difficult out of conference games. Check out LSU's schedule in 2011. They scheduled both Oregon and West Virginia out of conference, plus they had to play difficult in conference games like Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, etc.
Clemson doesn't play schedules like that. So it pisses us SEC fans off when fans of other conferences criticize the SEC for not playing tough out of conference games, when other schools don't have hardly any tough IN CONFERENCE games.

"stick together"
Lol.
You play Florida and UGA every year. We play FSU and usually schedule another tough OOC opponent along with Scar every year.
Outside of that both of our schedules are filled with bad to mediocre teams.

Yes, the schedule this year is not as strong as years past.
That just happens sometimes. It's not Alabama's fault that Auburn, Arkansas, and Tennessee are no good this year.

They would have lost since they wouldn't have the magical speed and strength injection that comes with being in the SEC.
