What do you expect from a Biden Presidency
Nov 10, 2020, 10:01 AM

and why do so many Conservatives lose sleep over Kamala. I mean, what the heck has a VP ever done for you? He wins his 4 years if he doesnt create any wars, becomes a unifier for the Nation and kicks COVID to the curb....somewhat as its not going away in 4 years. All of which shouldnt be too hard to accomplish.
I dont understand all the hand wringing with Biden and Harris. Senate is good, House and Pelosi have been neutered a little. Like why all the crying?

But in a poor state like SC..100 mill would go a long way to fixing a lot of the stuff Harrison said he was campaigning for.

It's a true winner-take-all in these run-offs. Either both Republicans will win, or both Democrats, I'm pretty sure. You're going to extreme drives for voter turnout. I don't know what to expect.

I expect a Biden Presidency to undo all the personal financial gains my friends/family experienced under the Trump economy.
Now that's what I EXPECT. If a Biden presidency continues the Trump economy trend and does nothing that NEGATIVELY affects that trajectory (ie retirement and/or career), then he's welcome to do what he wants..............but DON'T put a negative touch on American's wallet.
It's a very simple ask of me.

pheebo,
I think, realistically, that you might see a downturn over the next year or so - effects of dealing with the virus. Then I think you will see the economy start to grow. By the end of his first 4 years, we will have a healthy economic picture.
Will you vote for Joe if that turns out to be the case ??

a couple things on that:
#1 I see no way that Biden runs again, I'm not sure that he makes it health wise through the next 4 years.........however at this point it's in MY BEST INTEREST that he does finish 4 years b/c it's not Joe that I fear the most, he's not my preference at all, but he's better than Harris and the "woke squad" or whatever the heck they call themselves running things.
#2 I'd vote for who I thought was BEST for the economy. If a Biden economy gives out the same accelerated financial growth that the Trump economy gave then it's definitely something to think about. Like I said though and like I've said a lot the last week or so. I think this country has gone too far left for EITHER party to control. Being a Democrat is one thing, but preventing the Far left from overtaking that party is another. The "AOCs of the world" will gain more and more traction from the younger generations of voters. the Far Right and Far Left of both sides are appalling, but the far Left has a much greater "strong hold"/ground swell on their party than the Far Right does on theirs.

Climate accord, backpacking on Trump trade deals, lax immigration, 401k reform, higher taxes (esp corporate) are all bad for the economy. In what fantasyland do you guys live in that Biden will be good for the economy? These are things he’s already stated that he will do.

Now if he can be the same do nothing politician that he has been for the last 47 years, maybe it will be ok. I just don’t know if the far left of his party will allow that.

No cause he will be 83-84 years old. That’s absolutely ridiculous and would most certainly be seen as a National Security threat. We do not need a 90 year old man running our country. That is asinine

1. I expect Biden to recognize the medical and scientific expertise necessary to help whip this virus under control. It won't go away completely, but we can control it enough to return to some semblance of normalcy.
2. I expect Biden to undo some of Trump's damage within the Executive Department - via executive orders and lousy Cabinet secretaries, etc. I hope we will return to concern for the environment and the humane treatment of asylum seekers.
3. I expect Biden to reach out to Congress to try to steer a moderate course. Hopefully, without Trump's exacerbating influence, Dems & Repubs can return to their normal levels of animosity and at least be able to recognize some common ground and compromise.
4. Although I am not sure how successful he may be, I expect Biden to attempt to make some reasonable steps forward on income equity and addressing climate change. These will be small, moderate steps, but they will be in the right direction.
To all of my very left friends, If Joe Biden can just undo most of the Trump damage and motivate Congress to try to work together, that would be a HUGE accomplishment and a large step in the right direction for the country.

I expect Biden to:
have zero pressers (w/o a teleprompter) over his four years (or four months, after he gets 25ed),
raise taxes (for the Green Dumb Deal, free healthcare, tuition and loan forgiveness, etc), increase economy-killing regulations,
get cozy with Iran and send them billions,
to rejoin the Paris Climate Change Cluster freakout,
destroy our healthcare system ( by just looking at the costs and NOT considering the real issue: QUALITY OF CARE AND OUTCOMES),
open our borders so we can pay even more for illegal immigrants,
make P. Rico and DC democrat states,
embrace no bail for criminal acts (a la NYC),
succumb to the extreme leftist socialists in the Dum Party,
actually fall asleep during a teleprompted presser,
get lost in the WH,
ask Jill if he won,
destroy America as we know it,
set the table for huge Pub wins in 2022 and 2024 (Nikki Haley in a land slide).
The dem voters can now congratulate themselves for being the first electorate to actually SCREW themselves, literally, because they couldn't stand the prosperity that Trump brought to them!
Emotions over facts, logic and common sense did them in..

Stability. Calm. Rational thought. A strategy and plan.
Nov 10, 2020, 12:39 PM

Even if I dont agree with his plan, I’ll at least know the direction we are heading. Before we were just flying by the seat of our pants depending on what Fox show the president watched that day, or who insulted him. I don’t expect much to change between now and 2024, save for some things Biden might do through EO. I expect much less divisiveness- there will still be much disagreement between the parties, but at least now it will not be the president stoking the flames. I’m very much looking forward to Biden being America’s grandpa for 4 years, and then us getting to elect someone rational that people actually are excited for.

So, assuming Biden stays president...
Nov 10, 2020, 12:50 PM

-Stability. Less divisiveness. No more stupid Tweets to debate. -Gridlock. Senate should maintain control. Pubs likely make more gains in 2022. -An undoing of Trump's radical executive orders. -Putting third world dictators in their place and mending relations with allies. -More spending. More debt. -Americans being able to get back to normal things in life and not have to worry about politics so much.
