UM Def 362 YPG
CU Def 283 YPG

Clemson allows 5ppg less and scores 3ppg more.

Miami's strong point on defense is creating turnovers (ranked 2nd), Sacks (ranked 1), tackles for loss (ranked 2nd).

Manny Diaz has been aggressive calling the defensive plays. We rotate 9-10 D-lineman and have aggressive fast LBs.

Counters, screens, cutbacks, etc....have hurt us at times

Very similar to how we play. I respect Miami's D. Fast and athletic with a good coach. A D that attacks the O not just defend it. We have been much better this year at limiting the big play. PI calls still hurt us some as it will any team when playing man a lot.

Our defense has given up more yards than we would like, but when we needed a big stop, they have come through. The bigger the opponent, the better our defense has performed this year.

I'm not worried about our defense. We should be able to keep Clemson in check. There are many more question marks surrounding our offense. First team to 20 wins tomorrow!

Serious question: what does keeping our O in check mean to you?***
