Does the Clemson vs FSU game this year = the Clemson

vs Va Tech game last year? It's on the road, it's against the ACC media champion. I have a hard time seeing that as a win right now simply because of our lines vs their lines, but I'll be willing to change my mind based on how we look against Auburn.

they do not run it like they used to. maybe this years group will be better. I'd always rather play them earlier rather than later. by Nov their whole team is usually clicking

The keys to this game will be penalties, turnovers, and special teams. Fewest mistakes will win.

According to all the hype they get and the pundits, there is nothing new this year vs. past year's. They always have had superior talent at all positions, according to the media, and their OL has been better than ours for about a dozen years, yada, yada, yada. We have faired pretty well vs. them of late, and I expect this to be a war, but a winnable war, if we mature into our game. It will be interesting to see how our Coordinators do vs. theirs. I hope that one day we can get the accolades they get every year. And, by the way, Jimbo has been in charge for a number of years. BB was nothing short of a figure head for the last several years he was there, trying desperately to figure a way to get ahead of Joe Pa.

This game scares the crap out of me

We barely beat them last year with EJ on the sidelines. They should be much improved from last year, but so should we. They are long overdue for a win, as we have handled them over the last decade.
This whole season is shaky for me. Over the last decade or so, we've followed a successful season with an awful season. Here's to hoping this year will be different.

Now we might have barely beat them without EJ,

but I'm not sure he would have been much better than Trickett was. Also, we gave them that free touchdown when Tajh went full-retard, stumbling and throwing it straight to a defender and whatnot.

Not a bit worried about EJ. He's very overrated IMO. If our defense can hold them to a decent score, we should still be able to outscore them.

All you have to do to make EJ awful is get some pressure

on him. He's terrible when he doesn't have a lot of time. Once he feels he has to get the ball off really fast, his decisions are terrible. I really think Trickett played a better game in DV last year than EJ would have. And I agree with the poster above--the final score was closer than the game really was. The "pick six" was ridiculous. I still say Tajh's knee was down anyway.
