Do you drink beer????

A husband and wife are watching TV, and he has a beer along with his popcorn.

The wife asks, " How much was that beer?"

He replies, "Oh, about three dollars..."

She asks, "How many do you drink a day?"

He says, "Oh, two or three..."

She says, "You know that is about nine dollars a day"

He sez, "Uh huh..."

She sez, "That's about sixty dollars a week, right?"

He sez, "Yup..."

She sez, "More like 250 dollars a month????"

He sez, "Yea, so what?"

She sez, "That's three thousand dollars per year!!!!"

He sez, "so...."

She sez, "That's at least sixty thousand dollars over 20 years, without any interest. If you would have that in savings, we'd have a whole lot more than that."

He sez, So what..."

She sez, "If we had that much money, I could have a new Cadillac!!!!"

He says, "Do you drink beer???"

She says, "You know I don't!!!!"

He says, "Where's your Caddy, then?"

I would much rather have 20 years' worth of beer than a Cadillac.

Long ago, The Boss once said to me as I was mailing off IPTAY dues one spring:

"Ya know, if we had all the money we'd spent on IPTAY and Clemson football the last 20 years, we could have paid cash for a house."

Hard to argue the point, but she also agreed the money was well spent!!

She loves them Tigers, too!
