Divisionless football

Jun 19, 2017, 3:48 PM

With the big 12 adding a championship game without divisions why wouldn't the other conferences consider doing the same. With 14 teams everyone could play three yearly rivals then rotate the other 10 teams bi annually. 5 and 5. It just doesn't make sense to play teams such as Miami, Virginia tech, UNC, even Pitt twice every 12 years. If I'm a student athlete coming to Clemson, I would want to play those teams. That's kind of the point of adding them to begin with. Clemson could play FSU, Georgia tech and maybe NC State every year then rotate the rest. The top two records at the end of the season would play for the championship.

much more cents than playing freakin Boston College and Syracuse every year.

Maybe we should fax the ACC office?

As long as we keep playing in the NC championship and winning some here and there (pardon my French) why fix what ain't broke?

The only way to end up with the correct two teams in the championship games is the pick the team out of a hat to determine the schedule. Until a Boise state or the Hawaii rainbows get a shot at a team like Clemosn or Alabama, we will only be left guessing as to just how good they were in a given year.
