Deja vu all over again

Before Tommy Bowden was finally removed, this board and others was very similar in regards to the vitriol being directed at Jack Leggett.
Everyday, every hour, the vomit spewed at Bowden reached maddening levels and it was a chore just to log in to the board to put up with that stink
Things are no different now, just a different ballgame.
As during that time, I personally felt that it was time for Tommy Bowden to go. TB did some awesome things for the CU football program not least of which is the upgrades that set us on our current track.
His failure to win the big game or not to lose the ones we shouldn't was justification for wanting him gone but his accomplishments and status as the Clemson football Head Coach was more than reason enough not to be so insulting and disrespectful to him on his way out.
Jack's situation is no different. He's also done some great things for Clemson baseball and even if he is unable to keep up with the times and perform as we would expect, he still deserves the respect for what he's done as our Head Coach and the simple fact that he lives and breathes the same orange we do.
Again, like the Bowden situation, letting our administration know we're unhappy with Jack and ready for his removal is one thing. Blatantly insulting and degrading him is something else entirely. Lets try and build up, not down.
After all, how do you think our football situation has worked out?

TB didn't have every other school around giving athletes $5-$10,000 more a year in scholarship help. No matter who(whom?) the next Clemson BB coach is, it'll be the same until that aspect of it is addressed.

I think Bowden did a terrible job as coach and never had much respect for him.

TB brought us up out of the ashes of the 90s. Dabo has taken us to another level.

Not even close. There are few Jack defenders left, but then

the anti-TB crowd was very much the minority. As soon as TB was fired, however, his defenders threw him under the bus. TNET is run by a rabid pumper mentality, but those pumpers would throw their mother under a bus and deny they ever loved her because they are beyond irrational and such lemmings.
I was one of, if not the first, calling for TB's head, but also one of the few to defend him after.

I'm thinking you're misremembering.
There was far more than a small minority calling for TB's head. There was a minority that was completely inflammatory and insulting, much like those doing the same to Jack now.
Then, as now with JL, I was ready for TB to go, along with most others on here.

Good post, but one disagreement: Bowden was always about Bowden, and his failures were in his mind because of facilities and parity in the league. Jack has the same mentality.
