David Hood about Ray-Ray

Jan 8, 2018, 2:58 PM

He is one of my favorites and I wish him the best of luck. If I missed your thoughts I apologize. What is your opinion in his decision? Did he get a good draft grade? Did he believe he would have to split more time with guys next year and think it was in his best interest to go? Did he just feel he was ready and nothing else to prove. My guess would be a combination of the 2nd and 3rd. Thoughts?

I don't think the draft grade mattered to Ray Ray. Sometimes I think a player thinks they have done all they can do on one level and want to try the next. His family isn't hurting for money, so I think he was just ready to go.

Nothing wrong with that.

As long as a player has weighed the pros and cons, and is aware of potential risk and benefits of their decision, that's all we can ask for.

Thanks to Ray Ray for his hard work as a Clemson student-athlete.

That is certainly his option. Just wanted to know if you had a gut feeling on it. Thanks

Ray-Ray is no more ready for the NFL than KJ or Jaron were for the NBA! He is size restricted and hi s need for more experience in being a featured receiver/returner is evident,, To those of us who watch for these guys to have breakout games, seasons & plays, Ray-Ray still has some polishing to be don
Van Smith--I do not know but they didn't throw on him often with success.
