so we would have won the Sugar Bowl. Since we have modeled our program after Bama  , Dabo should write all of these things down so that next year he can say all of the right things and get us the win. Darn, wish Saban wasn't such a charismatic and inspirational wordsmith!

The thing was to Saban, it was personal. How dare a school from the ACC who had always lost to Alabama dare beat him. Yes it was personal. Think what they did. Had pictures on their cell phones, pictures in their locker room of Renfroe's catch. Why do you think Saban lobbied so hard? He knew it would give him a chance to "put Clemson in their place". Now it is our turn.

You comment reminds me of the boxer who crossed himself (sign of the cross) before stepping in the ring for a boxing match. The TV commentator asked the boxing analyst (Gil Clancy, I think) if "that" helped. Clancy said "yes, if he can box"!
I am quite sure that many coaches have used that type of motivational material before and have lost handily ....remember the Coots after we wiped the stadium floor with them "Never Again". Ultimately, they did not want the game more than us and they probably were not "better prepared" (or maybe they were, who knows). Quite honestly, I just think at this point they have more better players than us across the board. Just about all of our best players would fit right in with their team, skill-wise, but a number of them would be back-ups ....especially in the defensive backfield.
