To be able to day trade more than 4-5 times per week or something like that. I got in trouble on Robin Hood for day trading too much bc I was under 25k so they banned me from day trading at all for 90 days. Now if I buy a stock I have to wait 48 hours to sell it if I want. I’ve just been investing in all these down companies that I’ll hold for the next 12 months and make bank on them.

Anyone who makes 4 or more day trades in a 5 day period is required to have at least $25,000 in their trading account, and if they don't they won't be able to make anymore margined day trades until they bring their balance up to $25,000. This rule applies to margined accounts, where the trader utilizes margin.

And if you break the rule you get banned from any day trades for 90 days.
