As an objective gamecock fan I would say:

Qb- clemson
Rb- clemson
Wr- clemson
Te- USC
Ol- even

Dl- USC
Lbs- slightly USC
Dbs- USC

Special teams- CU has a better kicker, USC has better return game & coverage. I would say even overall

Head coach- USC
OC- clemson
DC- USC

I think this game could go either way, and South Carolina has to get out to a fast start. I think clemson puts up around 35-41 pts on us and I think we could be around the 35 range as well.

I think with it being at CU and y'all are a better team overall this year compared to last, including mentally, you guys will pull it out 35-27.

I'm pumped for the game and think it will be a great showcase of our great state. Here's to a great game!

That's a pretty rational response

Nov 21, 2012, 11:28 AM [ in reply to Re: Comparing CU and SC by position. ]

but I think one of Clemson's most underrated player is Brandon Ford at TE if anything TE is at least even or just slightly Clemson

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

And TE could be a push but I do feel we have 3 very good TE's. I do like our overall depth as compared to clemson on both sides of the ball but that doesn't really matter that much in a one game scenario. In my opinion this game is strictly won or loss on our effectiveness to pressure Boyd.

It doesn't matter who is in the secondary, if Boyd gets time he will murder you with the wr's you have.

If the game is still close in middle of the 3rd, I think mentally the gamecocks will have a big edge and a lot of pressure shifts to you guys.

Regardless, most gamecocks fans are nervous and I'm sure you guys are if not nervous, anxious to have a break out game against us.

I think we have a better DC, but only

time will tell. He has certainly improved our defense. We have some talent and depth issues he can't solve by himself.

Otherwise, agree with you

QB Advantage Clemson
RB Advantage Clemson
WR Advantage Clemson
OL Advantage EVEN (if not slight advantage SC Sat will be the tall tail)
TE Advantage EVEN

Special Teams Advantage Clemson

DL Advantage SC
LB Advantage EVEN (SC LB have not played well this year and when Shuey was put in as starter it really boasted out D as a whole)
DB Advantage EVEN

Head Coach Advantage SC (you cannot dismiss Spurrier even though he is a #*@!)
OC Advantage Clemson
DC Advantage EVEN (I have seen improvement from game 1 in our D but talent is lacking due to youth and Lorenzo Ward is no Ellis Johnson)
HOME/AWAY Advantage Clemson

I'm cautiously optimistic but based on old school thought games are won & lost in the trenches

Sorry, but ST advantage Clemson????

We gave up how many KO Return yards Saturday? Seems like it was about 500. We had better have that worked out.
