College athletes will be pros

Apr 30, 2020, 11:33 AM

If, and when, the NCAA allows athletes to earn money, college sports will be forever changed. Large schools with huge fan bases, especially in large urban, populated areas will have a huge advantage. The earning opportunities at large schools will be so much greater than those at smaller schools.

I don't know if that is necessarily true. With the Lakers, Clippers, Rams, Chargers, Dodgers, Kings, and other high profile celebrities living locally the supply for celebrity endorsements already grossly outpaces the demand. In my opinion, schools like Nebraska will see the greatest influx as if you become the face of that program, you become the hottest marketing necessity in the state. That is just my speculation though, it could be proven very wrong.

College Ball (Aka Football) will be over as we know it..

if a few big stars on a team are making $ and the remaining 95% aren’t.

Will create jealousy, less team cohesion, prima-donnas, etc.

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

I didn't even know that our state has semi pro football. Judging from their websites it doesn't look like anybody else does either;

( Myrtle Beach )

Do they limit the amount of income from endorsements?If not,can you imagine the kind of deal a player like TL would get from a school like Oregon.Hopefully will be a limit and transparency on the endorsement amount?Slippery slope.
